We offer a pressurised pipe survey by a gas safe engineer. This isn’t a full leak detection survey but it is:

Ideal for properties that have had a damp survey and leaking pipes are suspected.
Ideal for properties where there is a suspected leak but no further evidence.
Ideal as a starting point for a full leak detection survey.
More cost effective than a full survey.

What we will do

The engineer will test all the pressurised pipework. This includes your heating system, hot pipework, main cold pipework, external to internal mains pipework.

We will thermal image and take moisture readings of the ground floor. The tests will take several hours and the engineer will start at 9am. The engineers are only booked for 1 job per day so they will methodically go through the process building up the evidence without being in a rush to be anywhere else.

Next steps

Should the results of the pipe survey conclusively show there is a measurable leak on the system then with your agreement the testing will move on to a full leak survey.

If however after the pressurised pipe survey there doesn’t appear to be a leak on the system the engineer will still produce a report with their conclusions which will hopefully stand you in good stead to get your issue fixed, whether it be an ingress of water from a window or evidence of rising damp.

Then with your agreement the engineer will move on to the full survey.
